How Long Does It Take to Charge an Electric Car?

So, how long does it take to charge an electric car? There are several different options when it comes to charging your new electric vehicle in Arlington. Just note, plugs and ports can vary, so it is a good idea to have an available charging adapter so you won’t be tied to one charging method. Learn more about charging times and options below with Momentum Maserati.

What are My Electric Car Charging Options?

  1. Domestic Outlet Home Charging: A normal three-pronged 110V/120V charging outlet (Level 1 Charging) doesn’t have fast charging speed but it’s a good option for when you need to top off some of the charge you used commuting to work in Hurst.
  2. Installed Brand-Approved Home Charging: Level 2 Charging is typically professionally-installed around Fort Worth. Rapid chargers made for the brand will have faster charging rates than a domestic outlet will.
  3. Public Charging: You can charge on-the-go at parking garages, malls, hotels, stores, and even apartment buildings.

Maserati Electric Car Charging Time

So, what does electric car charging time look like for the new Maserati lineup? In current news, Maserati has started testing its first 100% electric powertrain. During this experimental phase, the signature sound that will characterise the electric engine will also be developed. The new Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio will be Maserati’s first cars to adopt 100% electric solutions.

Since these highly-anticipated models are not yet available, Momentum Maserati can’t provide you with electric car charging time frames, however, we’ll review similar luxury vehicle’s times below.

  • Range: 234-mile range
  • Home Charging: About 30 miles of charge in 12 hours with a domestic outlet. Optimal electric car charging times are obtained with manufacturer approved chargers.
  • Public Charging: 50kW DC fast charging stations can provide 0-80% in about 85 minutes, whereas 100kW DC fast charging stations provide 0-80% in approximately 45 minutes.
