What Country is Maserati Made in?

What country is Maserati made in? Maserati has been made in Italy for decades, and is one of them most purebred Italian luxury models available today. In fact, Maserati high-performance automobiles have been produced in Italy since the Maserati brothers started up shop in 1914, in Bologna, Italy.

Today, their manufacturing headquarters is located in Modena, Italy, home to several of Italy’s most famous auto manufacturers. The company also has factories in Turin and Grugliasco, Italy. Visiting a Maserati factory is a trip we recommend for every vacationing enthusiast and Maserati owner.

Who Owns the Maserati Car Company?

Who owns the Maserati car company? Maserati is currently owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, but wasn’t always the case. The company’s history began in 1914 when three of the Maserati brothers started an auto workshop. They created the very first Maserati car, the Tipo 26, in 1926. They owned the company until it was subsequently sold in 1937.

The company passed through several owners until it was bought by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in 1993. Even though owners have changed, the also-Italian Fiat was sure to leave the company’s bases of operation and manufacturing in Italy, where Maserati is from.
